Platinum Partners Hedge Fund
Since 2003, Platinum Partners Hedge Fund, under the umbrella of Platinum Management, has experienced significant returns, thanks to Mark Nordlicht. His wise investment strategies are the primary reason the firm has experienced unprecedented advances over the past few years. In 2008, the firm steadily moved up in ranking from number 26, to number 16 in 2010 on the Barron's Hedge Fund 100. These are considered phenomenal rankings for a hedge fund investment firm, especially in today's tough economy.
In April 2010, Uri Landesman joined the force to co-manage the firm's Multi-Strategy hedge funds. Mark Nordlicht's unparalleled approach to business inspired Landesman to join the bandwagon. Landesman brings over 25 years worth of experience to the table.
Like Nordlicht, Landesman is also a Yeshiva University graduate. His first job was with Sanford C. Bernstein & Co as a materials and energy analyst. He also worked as an analyst and portfolio manager at J.P. Morgan and Federated Investments. In 2002, he worked at ING Investment Management and oversaw $3.5 billion worth of assets.
Nordlicht's business savvy coupled with Landesman's equity investment experience makes the team a powerful force to be reckoned with.
In addition to Platinum Partners Hedge Fund, Mark Nordlicht is also the Chairman of Platinum Diversified Mining and Platinum Energy Resources, Special Purpose Acquisition Corporations seeking to attain businesses in mining, oil and natural gas.
Platinum Partners Management caters to financial institutions, charities, trusts, foundations and high profile individuals. The firm currently manages two multi-strategy hedge funds with a combined total of $500 million in assets.
Currently, Key Executives and Founders of the firm include Mark Nordlicht and Uri Landesman. Entities affiliated with Platinum Management include: Platinum Diversified Mining, Platinum Partners Value Arbitrage Fund LP, Platinum Energy Resources and Special Purpose Acquisition Corporations.
